ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ ದಿನಾಂಕ : 2010-07-25  ಸೊಹ್ರಾಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಶೇಕ್ ನಕಲಿ ಎನ್ ಕೌಂಟರ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಹಾಜರಾದ ಗುಜರಾತಿನ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಿಬಿಐ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬಂಧಿಸಿತು. ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರ (ಪಿಟಿಐ): ಸೊಹ್ರಾಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಶೇಕ್ ನಕಲಿ ಎನ್ ಕೌಂಟರ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಹಾಜರಾದ ಗುಜರಾತಿನ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಿಬಿಐ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬಂಧಿಸಿತು. ಬಂಧನದ ಬಳಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಷಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿತು. 46 ವರ್ಷದ ಷಾ ಅವರು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುನ್ನ ಅಹಮದಾಬಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಎದುರು ಹಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಗುರುವಾರ ಸಿಬಿಐ ಸಮನ್ಸ್ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗುವುದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದ ಷಾ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಎದುರು ಹಾಜರಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸಿಬಿಐ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದರು. ಸಿಬಿಐ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರಿನಿಂದ ಇಳಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರತ್ತ ಕೈ ಬೀಸಿದ ಷಾ ತಮಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತನಿಖಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳತ್ತ ತೆರಳಿದರು. ತನಿಖಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಷಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸಿಬಿಐ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಷಾ ಅವರು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿದರು ಎಂದು ಅವರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕ ವಿಜಯ ರೂಪಾನಿ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ನಂತರ ಷಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಿಬಿಐ ಕಚೇರಿಯ ಕಾರೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂರಿಸಿದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ರಜೆ ಇದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ಮ್ಯಾಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರೇಟ್ ಎ.ವೈ. ದವೆ ಅವರ ನಿವಾಸದತ್ತ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಸಿಬಿಐ ಮೂಲಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದವು. ಷಾ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದರೋಡೆಕೋರರ ಕೂಟದವನೆಂದು ಆಪಾದಿಸಲಾದ ಸೊಹ್ರಾಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಶೇಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಪತ್ನಿ ಕೌಸರ್ ಬಿ ಯನ್ನು 2005ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಹರಿಸಿ ಕೊಲೆಗೈದ ಆರೋಪವನ್ನು ಸಿಬಿಐ ಹೊರಿಸಿದೆ. ಆರೋಪಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕಟ್ಟುಕತೆ: ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ ಅಹಮದಾಬಾದ್ (ಪಿಟಿಐ): ‘ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋರಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಆರೋಪಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕಟ್ಟುಕತೆ, ಇದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸಂಚು ಇದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಅಮಿತ್ ಶಾ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗುಜರಾತ್ ಗೃಹಸಚಿವ ಹುದ್ಧೆಗೆ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಶನಿವಾರ ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ, ಭಾನುವಾರ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧಿಡೀರ್ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಚ್ಚರಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಆರೋಪಗಳಲ್ಲವೂ ಕಟ್ಟುಕತೆ, ಇದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸಂಚು ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದರು. ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ಮುಗಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸಿಬಿಐ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗುವುದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. 46 ವರ್ಷದ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ ಗುಜರಾತ್ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರ ಬಲಗೈ ಬಂಟ ಎಂದೇ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ. ಸಿಬಿಐ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕೊಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಪಹರಣ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಶನಿವಾರ ಗುಜರಾತ್ ಗೃಹಸಚಿವ ಹುದ್ಧೆಗೆ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ನೀಡಿದ ನಂತರ ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇಕೆ? ಎಂದು ವರದಿಗಾರರೊಬ್ಬರು ಕೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ, ಸಮಯದ ಅಭಾವದಿಂದ ಸಿಬಿಐ ಸಮನ್ಸ್ಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಲಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಷ್ಟೇ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ತಾವು ನೇರ ಸಿಬಿಐ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. 2005ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸೊಹ್ರಾಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಶೇಖ್ ನಕಲಿ ಎನ್ಕೌಂಟರ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಬಿಐ ಗುರುವಾರ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗುವಂತೆ ಸಮನ್ಸ್ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಅವರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಣಾ ಜಾಮೀನು ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಿಬಿಐನ ವಿಶೇಷ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿತ್ತು. ಬಂಧನ ಖಚಿತವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಷಾ ಶನಿವಾರ ತಮ್ಮ ಹುದ್ಧೆಗೆ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಶೂಟೌಟ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ ತಲೆದಂಡ ನವದೆಹಲಿ (ಪಿಟಿಐ): ಸೊಹ್ರಾಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಷೇಖ್ ಶೂಟೌಟ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧನದ ಭೀತಿ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಗುಜರಾತ್ ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ ಶನಿವಾರ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಣಾ ಜಾಮೀನು ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿಬಿಐನ ವಿಶೇಷ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿದ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಈ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಬಳಿಕ ಷಾ ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಸಿಬಿಐ ತಂಡ ಅವರ ಶೋಧ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಚಿವರು ಮುಂದೆ ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಮೂಲಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿವೆ. ‘ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಾದ ಅಮಿತ್ ಷಾ, ಯಶಪಾಲ್ ಚೂಡಾಸಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಜಯ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಅವರು ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಸಿಬಿಐ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ‘ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಪತ್ರ ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ವಾಪಸಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ಅದನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ’ ಎಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ರಾಜಧಾನಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಷಾ ತಪ್ಪೊಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆಯೇ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ, ಸಂವಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲ ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವರ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಷಾ ಕಾನೂನು ಪ್ರಕಾರ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲಿದ್ದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರೆಯುವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮೋದಿ ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ವಾಗ್ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಅವರು, ಸೊಹ್ರಾಬುದ್ದೀನ್ನನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ನಾಯಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಿಂಬಿಸಿ 2007ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಎದುರಿಸಿದ ಪಕ್ಷ, ತನ್ನ ಸೋಲಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಇಂತಹ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲ ರಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್, ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಡೆಯೊಡ್ಡಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವವರ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿ ನಾವು ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೊಹ್ರಾಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಷೇಖ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಕೌಸರ್ ಬೀ ಅವರನ್ನು 2005ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಅಪಹರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿರುವ ಸಿಬಿಐ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಐಪಿಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಡಿ.ಜಿ.ವಂಜಾರ, ರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಪಾಂಡ್ಯನ್, ಎಂ.ಎನ್.ದಿನೇಶ್, ಅಭಯ್ ಚೂಡಾಸಮ ಮತ್ತಿತರರನ್ನು ಹೆಸರಿಸಿದೆ. ಶೂಟೌಟ್ ನಡೆಸಲು ಈ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಷಾ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆ. Sohrabuddin case: Modi minister Amit Shah surfaces, arrested for murder Ahmedabad: Former Gujarat Minister of State for Home Amit Shah, arrived at the CBI office in Gandhinagar to answer to the summons issued to him in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, has been arrested. He is being taken to the CBI judge's house, where the CBI will try to get a remand for him. Earlier in the day, Shah made a dramatic entry at a Press conference being held by the state BJP unit to declare that he is innocent and that he will go straight to the CBI headquarters for questioning. Surrounded by posters bearing legends proclaiming his innocence and slamming the Congress and the CBI, Shah calmly said all charges against him were "fabricated and politically-motivated" and that he would expose the people framing him. "The chargesheet had already been made at the behest of the Congress. It is fabricated and had nothing to do with my summons. I am not afraid of anyone. We will fight the legal battle, and expose those who have tried to wrong us in court", said Shah. The Modi protege added, " Gujarat is the only state which doesn't have a case of terrorism pending, all cases have been solved. The police officers, who have wrongly charged with killing Sohrabuddin, have arrested 400 people in terror-related cases. That is not highlighted. Shah said the Congress is misusing the CBI for electoral gains in Gujarat, " For the last 20 years, Congress has not won even municipal elections in Gujarat. Gujarat's electorate has not accepted them and they've been comprehensively beaten in the polls. This is their only recourse." CBI: the marble lobby nexus Sources tell NDTV that in the 30,000 page chargesheet filed by the CBI, the agency has said Sohrabudin was killed as he was becoming a nuisance for the marble manufacturing lobby in Rajasthan. Amit Shah and 14 other senior police officers have been named in the chargesheet. The chargesheet also states that during October and November 2004, Sohrabudin had threatened owners of R M Marbles and Sangam Textiles in an attempt to extort money. This is perhaps what makes the BJP uncomfortable - the chargesheet hints at links between Amit Shah and the marble lobby which wanted Sohrabudin eliminated. Sources also tell NDTV that Shah, along with two other accused, tried to hamper the probe and threaten witnesses. Shah directed Ajay Patel and Yashpal Chudasama, his close confidants and accused, to "convince, coerce, threaten and influence witnesses on his behalf to conceal the truth from CBI about the fake encounter of Sohrabuddin", they add. In November 2005, Sohrabuddin was shot dead on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. His wife, Kauser Bi, was also killed. At the time, Gujarat's Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) said that Sohrabuddin was a terrorist who planned to assassinate Modi. In 2007, the Gujarat state government admitted in court that Sohrabuddin and Kauser Bi had been wrongly killed. Some of the state's senior-most policemen are in jail, charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, and kidnapping Phone records allegedly show that those same policemen were in close and constant touch with Shah once they picked up Sohrabuddin and his wife, Kauser Bi, from a bus headed from Hyderabad to Sangli. The policemen who framed and shot Sohrabudin allegedly include DG Vanzara, who was the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Gujarat police, and Abhay Chudasama, the head of Ahmedabad's crime branch.
